AT&T announced it is investigating a data leak to the dark web containing the information of more than 73 million current and former customers.
The company stated that the data exposed was leaked to the dark web may include Social Security numbers, full names, emails, mailing addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, as well as AT&T account numbers and passwords.
AT&T customers should change their passwords immediately and monitor credit reports activity proactively.
This is a prime example of what damages viruses, malware, or hackers can do. This will affect these customers for years to come.
